The study evaluates DNA methylation levels at genomic level in mothers who conceived preterm babies and also in their new born babies and compares them to mothers and babies born at term. The purpose of the project is to identify epigenetic markers of preterm birth and possibly new ones pharmacological targets and to highlight important epigenetic changes.
