This project examines the interplay between Theory of Mind and cognitive development. It consideres Theory of Mind as a cognitive tool and focuses on the investigation of the relationships between Theory of Mind and a variety of indicators such as: reading, metacognition, mathematical skills. This project is also designed to investigate the role that school-related variables (such as teaching style) have on theory of Mind development. The project involves direct data collection and the use of statistical softwares (SPSS and R). The candidate must have a good knowledge of statistics and English (written and oral).
