Academic degree: PhD in Public Health and Community Medicine, University of Sassari (1994) – Post-degree in Medical Statistics (50/50 cum laude), University of Pavia (1991) – Post-degree in “Statistique appliquée à la Medicine, option Epidémiologie, University of Paris VI (1990) – Degree in Biological Sciences – University of Pisa (1988)

Present position: Full Professor in Medical Statistics, MED/01, University of Pavia (from June 2015) – Director, Department of Public Health, Experimental and Forensic Medicine, University of Pavia (from October 2018)

Previous positions: Associate Professor in Medical Statistics, MED/01, University of Pavia (2005 – 2015) – Assistant Professor in Medical Statistics, MED/01, University of Pavia (2000 – 2005)

Field of interest & Research Activity

Methodological and applicative aspects of epidemiological studies. Clinical epidemiology. Study of health determinants, in particular in chronic-degenerative diseases, analysis of the geographical distribution of diseases, environmental and occupational risk factors. Evaluation of measurement scales and questionnaires.
